Project Manager of the ship construction of Roro KMP Lelemuku, one of two ships made by PT Daya Radar Utama which was inaugurated by President Joko Widodo in Ambon, Maluku Province, Azwar said he was proud to witness the inauguration of the vessel.
Azwar was present at the inauguration ceremony of two units of PT Daya Radar Utama production vessel at Yos Sudarso Port, Maluku by the Head of State. Both vessels will be operated in order to support the sea toll program becoming the government’s flagship program.
When contacting Corporate Communication PT Daya Radar Utama Tularji Adji, KMP Project Manager Lemme Azwar admitted happy to witness the procession of signing ceremony prasastri as a sign of the inauguration of ship KMP Lememuku and KMP Tanjung Sole by President Joko Widodo.
According to him, himself as kapro very touched “I am proud, the ship we build can be inaugurated by the Head of State. I can also shake hands with the head of state at that time. It’s incredible, “he said.
As is known, President Joko Widodo inaugurated two units of roro crossing boat with a dead weight of 500 gross tonnage (GT) which is the assistance of the Ministry of Transportation to the Local Government of Maluku Province on Thursday (9/2).
The two vessels are KMP Tanjung Sole which is made by national shipyard PT Daya Radar Utama Lampung unit and KMP Lememail made by PT DRU unit Jakarta.
The inauguration of the two vessels was held on board the KMP Lelemuku marked by the signing of prasastri by President Joko Widodo in the car deck. After the signing of the inauguration prasastri, the President took photographs on the ship’s rampdor along with a number of Ministers.
The President was accompanied by a number of Ministers of the Cabinet of Work, among others, Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Resources Luhut B. Panjaitan boarded aboard KMP Leleemuku at around 11:00 am and left the ship half an hour later.
Both roro crossing boats with a capacity of 148 people and 19 units of vehicles and will be used to serve the pioneering routes in Maluku Province namely crossing the Namlea-Waisela crossing and crossing the Saumlaki-Adaut-Letwurung crossing.
President Jokowi hopes, with the addition of two vessels, the price of existing commodities in the province of Maluku could experience a significant decrease, given the addition of routes and capacities accommodated two vessels. (aji)
